Purpose of position:

In this role you will support IT teams and management in optimizing service quality and efficiency. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, you identify trends and patterns and highlight opportunities for improvement. You quantify these opportunities into concrete benefits in terms of service quality or cost.

You have a thorough understanding of Office Depot processes, both IT related and business.

Primairy Accountabilities:

• Execute research and analysis on business processes, business opportunities, IT developments, current systems, etc., within the appointed business domain(s), in order to identify opportunities for business process improvement through IT solutions.
• Create, present and ensure the realization of business cases, based on research and analysis, in order to present ideas regarding global business changes and to proof business benefits through effective IT.
• Provide consultancy and support to European customers, IT management, Developers and other IT members, in order to support optimal decision making by others.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

• Bachelor degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in process design, and/or reporting, and/or consulting.
• Extensive experience of working in a business focused IT development environment.
• Extensive experience of analysis and fact finding in support of business cases, proposed projects and system requirements.
• Extensive IT experience is essential to give an understanding of the varied technologies employed by Office Depot and how to apply them within our diverse and dynamic business environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, both conceptual and practical (e.g. writing database queries).
• Highly accurate worker.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to support conversion of research findings into concrete initiatives.
• Fluent speaking and writing in English.
